A Temperature & Pressure Relief Valve (T&PR valve) is a water heater safety valve which releases water (and thus relieves pressure) if either the temperature or pressure in the tank gets too high.
These valves are very important. Water heaters can rupture if the pressure gets too high and these valves fail to work.
Water will run out of this safety valve either because
- the valve has become defective, or
- the pressure in the tank is exceeding the relief point.
- Suitable for all Hot Water Systems (excluding Continuous Flow)
