Importance of Operating your T&PR Valve Every Six Months
Your water heater (excluding Continuous Flow) is fitted with a Temperature & Pressure Relief Valve – known as a T&PR Valve. Manufacturers recommend you operate the valve EVERY SIX MONTHS by following these three simple steps.
Chiswick Plumbing recommends the T&PR Valve is replaced at least every 5 years (in areas where there is a high incidence of water deposits, more frequently).
If your heater is fitted with a SACRIFICIAL ANODE, we recommend it be inspected or replaced at least every 3-5 years.
If your heater releases discoloured water, stops heating, over-flows, ruptures or leaks, call for 24hr / 7 day emergency service by Chiswick Plumbing.
